I consider myself to be a full-service and no-pressure REALTOR®. What does that mean? Well, let me tell you a simple truth: it really doesn’t matter what REALTOR® you work with when buying or selling your home. Generally speaking, any REALTOR® will help you find and buy a home or will help you sell your home. Not many REALTORS® will tell you that. But here is what sets me apart: I go above and beyond what most REALTORS® provide AND you’ll never feel pressured into doing anything that you don’t want to do. What do I mean when I call myself a full-service REALTOR? I do more than your average real estate agent. I have been known to help customers and clients with cleaning in preparation for selling a home, helping to teach new homeowners how to do simple fix-up/repairs in their new homes, constantly updating listing pictures so that homes sell faster because they are constantly being adjusted and perfected. The list truly goes on. I put a personal touch on selling your home that you simply won’t get everywhere you go. In short, my clients and customers become my friends. I’m also a no-pressure real estate agent. Many, many agents try to get you to “sign up” with them to be your exclusive real estate professional. They get you to sign lengthy contracts that tie you in to work with them. I don’t do that. My philosophy is that if I’m not doing EXACTLY what you need, I shouldn’t be working with you anyway. I don’t tie purchasing customers into lengthy agreements because I know that I will be able to get you exactly what you need. I have confidence enough in my abilities to get you what you want and if, for some miracle I can’t get you what you want, you’re not tied to me! Real estate selling tip:

As a REALTOR, something I often hear from people who are ready to sell their home is "My neighbor's house just sold for $________. So mine should be worth that much, too."

This usually isn't the case. The value of a home is determined by more than just the location. Even if you live in a subdivision where most of the houses have similar, if not identical, floor plans. Age of the home, features, condition, and timing all play a big part in a home's value. And Zillow is usually wrong...

Real estate selling tip:

Since we got a new dog for Christmas (meet Henry!!), my mind has been a lot on the messes that dogs can make, especially on carpet, and in other areas of the home, like scratching or biting doors or trim. The cleanliness of your home is very important when you are selling. Make sure that you strongly consider replacing your carpet or at least having it professionally cleaned by a carpet cleaner who specializes in pet stain and odor removal. Touch up paint on trim and doors or replace if in bad condition. Keep in mind that replacing carpet and other flooring is a home upgrade that almost always gives you a higher return on investment then you originally invested. So it’s usually worth just replacing it.
