The Polaris Suite, named after the North Star, is one of four guest rooms at the lodge.
The room includes a queen-size bed with cotton linens, a flat-screen TV with streaming access, a mini fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker. The stone-tiled bathroom has a walk-in shower and fresh towels.
There’s also a private balcony with a small table and chairs, overlooking the meadow, trees, and Strawberry Creek below.
Guests have access to the lodge’s shared spaces as well, including the lobby fireplace, kitchen, dining area, deck, BBQ, and hot tub.

Inside you’ll find a king-size bed with cotton linens, a flat-screen TV with streaming access, a mini fridge, and fresh-ground coffee. The stone-tiled bathroom includes a walk-in shower and soft towels.
Just outside the room is a private balcony with a small table and chairs, surrounded by tall cedar and pine trees.
Guests also have access to the lodge’s shared spaces, including the lobby fireplace, kitchen, deck, BBQ, hot tub, and several places to sit and take in the view.

The South Wing at Root Stone Lodge is officially open to guests! Our mid century built cabin features private living room with old stone fireplace, full kitchen, dining room and wrap around deck over looking Strawberry Creek. For accommodations, a queen size, pillow top bed in private room, loft with two twin beds and a comfy pull out sofa bed. Full bath with iron tub. Sleeps 6. Please message for availability.

Our dad designed the spiral staircase for this fireplace, hand cutting each step with a band saw borrowed from the local Boy Scouts camp. Local woodworker Pat Ladd created the manzanita railing, sourced nearby with permit. Stonework by local Charlie Clayton. All pine and stones sourced from our property where the lodge now resides. Constructed masterfully from a blend of skill, labor, and love.
