Each time I meet with clients, I look forward to hearing their story. From singles to newlyweds to empty nesters and everyone in between, I get to meet all kinds of families. Many of them are looking forward to the next exciting chapter in their life and it's a happy time but sometimes it's the end of the chapter as they say goodbye to a loved one. Recently, that was the case for Matthew and Michael Daly. Brothers who lost their Mom and were selling her home and settling her estate. Several years ago, Mrs. Daly had hired a company to assist her with her estate planning which included setting up a trust. She was confident her affairs were in order for her family.
Unfortunately, we found out they weren't the company she had trusted and they had betrayed her trust. What should have been a smooth transaction for a grieving family turned into a challenge involving multiple companies, estate planners and lawyers. As we navigated each legal obstacle, Michael and Matthew worked tirelessly with me providing information and documents - all while Mike was cleaning out the house and Matt was in the final countdown to his wedding! After just 3 weeks, we made it to the closing table with our original buyer!!!
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Michael, Matthew & Colleen. You guys are amazing! I'd also like to thank the buyer's agent, Susan Vogel, and the buyer for agreeing to extend the closing a week. And last, but definitely not least, a huge thank you to Carrie Candela and the excellent team at Transnation Title Agency. Carrie worked through all the challenges with me and introduced me to Robert Thomas, the experienced Real Estate, Probate and Estate Planning Attorney who provided the necessary legal documents in order to move forward and close the deal.
If you're thinking about selling or buying and want a Realtor who'll stand by you no matter what comes, give me a call.
