Love this! Too many of our local downtown businesses have been vandalized, but like why? 🫠 Love that they turned it into something positive to help the kids 🥹
Last month we made a post about vandalism that had occurred downtown and affected a few of our neighbors. While the vandalism itself was disappointing, something unexpected happened in the comments. So many of you said you loved The Cheese is Displeased and mentioned using the logo for merchandise. To our surprise, our friends down the street at Geek N Out made up a few shirts and brought them to us as a welcome to the neighborhood. And that got us thinking… maybe we could turn something negative into something positive.
We talked to our friends at MPAC and the Founders Place (both were vandalized) about a fundraiser - they both encouraged us to use any funds raised for a good cause. So we teamed up with our friends at Geek N Out and turned the grumpy cheese into a shirt with a purpose.
Starting Friday, August 7, The Cheese is Displeased shirts will be available at the restaurant during regular business hours for $20 each (sizes small through XXL) and 100% of every shirt sold will go toward purchasing school supplies for local students. Because if there’s one thing that truly displeases the Cheese, it’s the thought of a child starting school with an empty backpack.
This fundraiser will run through August 18. We have limited quantities, but if we still have shirts available after that, we’ll choose another local cause that displeases the Cheese and keep the good going.
