Pride and Prejudice- Come see this famous literary work TONIGHT at 7 with FREE admission. Jane Austin “(16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817) was an English novelist known primarily for her six novels, which implicitly interpret, critique, and comment upon the British landed gentry at the end of the 18th century. Austen's plots often explore the dependence of women on marriage for the pursuit of favourable social standing and economic security. Her works are an implicit critique of the novels of sensibility of the second half of the 18th century and are part of the transition to 19th-century literary realism.[2][b] Her deft use of social commentary, realism and biting irony have earned her acclaim among critics and scholars.

Answering a few questions about Pride and Prejudice. Performances with Community Theater at Regis are August 9&10 at 7PM and August 11 at 2PM at Regis. Cost is just $10, cash or check only at the door. THEN, we take the show on the road and perform Wednesday August 14 at The Historic Opera House in Independence. This show is FREE, compliments of The Friends of City Hall Independence. Any free will donations will go to the Regis Theater group.
