Most people don't expect to find towering sandstone cliffs in the middle of Lower Michigan... and then they discover The Ledges. 🥾🌲

Located in Grand Ledge just west of Lansing, this natural wonder features some of the most unique rock formations in the entire state. Rising above the Grand River, the sandstone cliffs were formed millions of years ago and reach heights of up to 60 feet in some areas.

Today, visitors can hike scenic trails, scramble across the rocks, enjoy river views, and explore one of Michigan's most surprising landscapes. It's also one of the few places in Lower Michigan where rock climbing is permitted, making it a favorite for outdoor adventurers.
