Assistance for renters affected by loss due to the pandemic is on the way!

"Slightly more than half, or 53.4% of renter households, who are not caught up on rent, live in one-family detached and attached homes and 2-to-4- unit properties"

"To qualify for rental assistance, at least one member of a household must have experienced income loss, significant expenses due to the pandemic.. They will need to show they are or could be at risk of homelessness."

Federal funds are expected to be disbursed to states today as part of the COVID-19 stimulus package passed last month.

Charlotte like many other places has been ravaged due to the pandemic. The visibility of those struggling with homelessness has increased substantially. Tent cities have been a hot topic amongst politicians in the area and community leaders. However, little effort is being made to address the issue. I urge anyone who is capable of donating to do so. There are tons of resources that provide info on how to give back. No matter how small or large the contribution, you will be blessed and the city of Charlotte would be grateful!
THIS WEEK my mission was to give back. So I went to the dollar store and collected enough items to create 15 care packages! It was a wonderful and fulfilling feeling to know simple necessities will make a world of difference to someone!
As Real Estate brokers it's our duty that we keep up the community we market in. Remember knowing that you've been able to help someone is its own reward!
