Wegmans is one step closer to coming to the Lake Norman area.

A representative for Wegmans confirmed to me that the company has entered into an agreement with Atrium Health to purchase a property in Cornelius.

The property is located at the southwest corner of Westmoreland Road and Statesville Road intersection, next to the Atrium Health Lake Norman complex.

Wegmans says it’s evaluating the site as a potential location for a future grocery store, along with other possible uses.

No final decisions have been made, but this is a significant step forward for a potential Wegmans in Cornelius.

It's a curious time to be a real estate agent - the market will always have buyers and sellers, especially in a city like Charlotte. But not everyone can afford a $4k mortgage and groceries + gas. If you're in the "not everyone" category - there are options, I am helping people find their way into home ownership.
