As we enter another weekend with extreme temperatures, be sure to take these steps to stay safe:

✔️ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion such as heavy sweating, weakness, headache, nausea and dizziness.

✔️ Limit outdoor activities to cooler times of the day.

BEWARE: A Union County resident received a letter like this in the mail claiming to be from Union County and stating their property will be seized due to nonpayment of taxes. THIS IS A SCAM. Please do not respond if you receive and report to the law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction for where you live.

The Union County Sheriff's Office, Monroe, NC is investigating.
