☕ Coffee Crawl Stop #11. We finished!

Our final stop was Dexter’s Cat Cafe in Indiana. Mom had to sit this one out because she was preparing for a minor procedure, but she still got her Coffee Crawl drink. I took her an Apple Cinnamon Iced Latte, and she enjoyed it the next day. 😆

I had The Lover, an iced latte with strawberry foam on top. That strawberry cold foam got me. 💕

Dexter’s is such a fun place. You can grab a drink, shop, watch the cats through the window, or pay to go inside and spend time with them. And with nearly 270 cats adopted, they are clearly doing something pretty special. 🥳

I also ended up having a great conversation with the owner about social media and what to post where. Apparently all of this Coffee Crawl experimenting is paying off. 😂

And what a day to finish. 80 degrees in October in Indiana, PA. We may not see that again until 2027.

11 stops. Lots of coffee. Lots of laughs. Lots of memories. Coffee Crawl complete. ❤️

☕ COFFEE CRAWL STOP #10.

Mom and I made it to Obsessions Coffee Roastery in Homer City.

Even my opening video came with a little adventure. I started recording outside just as a truck began unloading beside us, so… that video ended a little sooner than planned. 😂

But once we walked inside, I realized this wasn’t just a coffee shop.

There are places to sit and read a book, games for families and younger visitors, shopping throughout the space, and plenty to look at while you’re enjoying your coffee. Such a unique place!

And then we ordered the bagel sandwiches.

Oh. My. 😳

They were HUGE. Mom and I absolutely could have split one.

We didn’t. 😂

And we ate them anyway.

Mom’s official review:

“If you’re hungry, check out the bagel sandwich!”

The staff was super friendly, the coffee was good.

TEN stops down, one more to go! ❤️☕

When we started this, I thought Mom and I were just going to visit some coffee shops. Instead, we’ve tried new drinks, discovered some wonderful local businesses, met some really nice people, laughed at ourselves more than once, and had a whole lot of fun spending time together.

And honestly, that may have been the best part of the Coffee Crawl.

Coffee Crawl Stop #9. Brush Valley Bistro ☕

This stop came with good coffee - well, we had iced Lattes 👍, comfort food, huge cinnamon rolls, gobs, and our 96-year-young cameraman, John. 😂💙

Mom and I had him take a quick video of us outside before we went in.

Except he thought he was taking a picture.

Nope. He was recording the whole thing. 😆

Inside, the person working the counter was so friendly, and I had a chance to introduce myself to the owner. There was a steady flow of people coming in the whole time we were there. Some were picking up orders, others were staying to eat, and it had that comfortable local-place feeling where people clearly know it and keep coming back.

We found a coffee bar full of syrups, some seriously tempting baked goods, and today’s special: stuffed peppers, mashed potatoes and green beans.

And honestly? It tasted like Mom’s cooking. ❤️

On the way out, I caught one more scene that made me smile. An Amish buggy stopped at the intersection.

Only in Indiana County.

One of those little things I love about living here. You can head out for coffee and lunch and come home with a whole story.
