My Journal - June 3, 2024
Morning Reflections
• My mother’s battle with pancreatic cancer continues. It’s as if time is slipping through my fingers, and I can’t catch my breath.
Highlights
• I received a heartfelt message from a friend, reminding me that I’m not alone in this struggle.
Challenges
• Balancing work, personal life, and caregiving is an intricate dance. Some days, I feel like I’m failing at all three.
• Suppressing tears becomes an art form. I’ve mastered the skill of smiling while my heart shatters.
Gratitude
• Today, I’m grateful for small mercies: a warm cup of coffee, a nice sunny day, and the resilience of the human spirit.
• My father’s love, though silent, speaks volumes. He’s hurting too, but he stands by my mother’s side.
Closing Thoughts
• As I prepare to return to Shanghai, I carry the weight of responsibility. I’ll care for my mother, support my father, complete all my work tasks, and find strength in the midst of sorrow.
P.S. Life’s storms may bend us, but they won’t break us. 🌟❤️
