School feels a little different when you’re actually excited about what you’re learning. 👀

For one of our former IREI students Sharika, real estate education kept her engaged because the subject connected to something she genuinely wanted to understand and pursue. The work still takes effort, but being interested in where it can take you can make the learning feel a whole lot more meaningful!

Real estate has room for all kinds of personalities. Introverts, extroverts, detail people, relationship people, the important part is learning how to serve clients well.

Your calendar might be one of your best study tools. 📅

Real estate school takes commitment, but that doesn’t mean every study session has to take over your entire day. Setting aside focused time, using your downtime intentionally, and finding small ways to keep the material fresh can make a big difference.

Don’t wait until you “find” the time. Decide where it’s going to go.

Your first brokerage shouldn’t just give you somewhere to hang your license, it should help you become a better agent.

Look beyond the commission split and pay attention to the support you’ll actually receive.

Mentorship. Office culture. Training. Lead opportunities. Brand size. Access to experienced agents. All of it matters, and the right answer will look different for everyone.

Interview the brokerage, too. Ask questions, talk to agents who already work there, and think honestly about your own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges.

Your first brokerage doesn’t have to be your forever brokerage, but It does need to be a place where you can learn, grow, and build confidence in those first transactions.
