We're honored to have ranked fourth on Indiana Business Journal’s Largest Commercial Real Estate Developers list for 2026! 🎉This marks our fourth consecutive appearance on the list and our third consecutive year holding the fourth spot.

“This recognition reflects the strength of our team and our continued commitment to developing high-quality communities that create lasting value across Indiana and throughout the country,” said Dan Sink, President and CFO. “As we celebrate our 40th anniversary this year, we remain focused on making a meaningful long-term impact in the communities we serve.”

The IBJ ranking is for Indianapolis-area firms based on total square feet completed or under construction in 2025. For Thompson Thrift, that amounted to more than 13.5 million square feet of developments across 7 states, with 88% multifamily, 7% retail, and the remaining 5% industrial and office.

Investing in leadership, building stronger teams! 💪

Thompson Thrift Construction's senior leadership gathered in Boca Raton, FL, on May 19-20 for the 2026 TTC Leadership Conference. Our Executive Team, Vice Presidents, Project Executives, and Preconstruction Executives came together to focus on what matters most: leadership development, operational alignment, and collaboration.

The conference featured sessions on engagement survey insights, leadership expectations, competencies by position, career pathways, and company initiatives. The team also connected through team-building activities and networking dinners throughout the event.

Building relationships on and off the course! ⛳

Last week, our Southeast team hosted a broker networking event at McLemore Golf Resort in Rising Fawn, GA. 10 Thompson Thrift team members and 15 brokers gathered for several days of networking, relationship building, and golf on the Highlands Course and The Keep Course.

Events like this strengthen our partnerships and create opportunities for continued collaboration across the Southeast region. Thank you to all the brokers who joined us for this incredible experience!

Making a difference, one student at a time! 💙

Our Terre Haute team wrapped up another incredible year of mentorship at Farrington Grove Elementary with an end-of-school-year celebration! Students and their Thompson Thrift mentors enjoyed games, pizza, cookies, and party favors as they celebrated the close of the school year together.

Week after week, our team members showed up to play games, help with schoolwork, and spend quality time with students in our local community. These moments of connection, encouragement, and consistency make all the difference.

A huge thank you to our dedicated mentors for investing in the next generation and showing what it means to serve our community! 🙌

In honor of Memorial Day, Thompson Thrift takes time to remember and pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Our offices will be closed today, Monday, May 25. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 26.

Throughout our 40th anniversary year, we look forward to highlighting the projects that shaped who we are today and the impact we've made along the way. Today, we're spotlighting 500 Wabash! 🏗️

Completed in July 2015, 500 Wabash marked a major step in the revitalization of downtown Terre Haute. Developed through a partnership between Thompson Thrift and Indiana State University, this five-story mixed-use project combined student housing with ground-floor retail space.

The building includes retail space on the first floor and apartment-style student housing on floors two through five, featuring apartment units designed primarily for upper-level and graduate students. The project was intentionally designed to reflect the historic character of downtown Terre Haute through the use of brick, cast stone, and preserved building façades.

The residential portion was fully leased almost immediately after applications opened, bringing students into the heart of downtown, increasing daily foot traffic for local businesses, and helping support continued momentum in the city's redevelopment efforts.

Building connections in Boise! 🏗️

Thompson Thrift Construction hosted a subcontractor open house at The Adelmann in Boise, ID, bringing together industry partners and professionals for an evening of networking and collaboration.

Thank you to the subcontractors who joined us and to our incredible sponsors: ABC, L&W, QXO, Sherwin-Williams, TruTeam, and James Hardie, for making this event possible. These gatherings strengthen the partnerships that drive our projects forward.

Celebrating community impact at American Legion Post 108! 🎉

As part of our 40 Acts of Service initiative, 25 Thompson Thrift volunteers and American Legion members came together in St. Bernice, Indiana, to build a new ADA-compliant ramp and improve the outdoor patio space. This project provides safer access for veterans with mobility challenges and supports an important gathering space for local veterans and their families.

"The veterans were thrilled with the outcome of the project. I can't begin to tell you how much this will benefit our Legion, veterans, and community," shared Melissa, Manager, Accounting.
