5 phone calls you probably ignore… but we still answer 📞😅

Let’s be honest—most of us don’t answer the phone anymore, especially if it’s an unknown number or looks like spam. But in real estate, we don’t always have that luxury!

There’s always that chance it’s a client trying to reach us, so we find ourselves picking up calls that we *know* are probably robocalls, spam… or something equally questionable.

So just for fun, we put together a list of 5 types of calls we still answer on a regular basis that you probably send straight to voicemail. Stay tuned… you might recognize a few! 👀

Ever wonder how random lenders suddenly know you’re buying a house? 🤔

We hear this a lot—buyers getting calls, texts, and emails from lenders they’ve never reached out to after getting pre-approved. Some even ask if we shared their info (we promise, we didn’t!).

What’s actually happening is something called “trigger leads.” When your credit is pulled for a mortgage, credit bureaus can sell that data, signaling to other lenders that you’re in the market.

The good news: there’s been some recent legislation aimed at limiting this, which should help cut down on the spam—though it may not stop it completely.

If it happens to you, just know it’s normal… and you’re not alone!
