Before the first shovel turned Wednesday, soil from four neighborhood organizations went into the ground at Lila at The Square.

Soil gathered from the International District Community Center, Enlace Academy, Mi Hogar Daycare and IMPD's Northwest District was mixed with earth from the Lila site. All four make a positive impact in the neighborhood.

Guests wrote messages to future residents on a wish wall, and those cards are going into Lila's leasing office so the first families through the door can read what this neighborhood hoped for them.

Lila at The Square will bring 144 affordable homes to 4615 Century Plaza Road in 2027. There will be an early learning center from Mi Hogar inside, free internet in every home and rents that stay affordable for 40 years.

The blended soil is going into a sealed jar that will sit in the lobby when residents move in.

Capital builds buildings. People build neighborhoods.

Sojos Capital is proud to support a new trail coming to the International Marketplace. Once built, this trail will give neighbors a safe way to walk and bike to the Eagle Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.

Right now, the focus is on something just as important: making sure the trail's name and identity come from the people who live and work in this corridor. Take the short survey to share what this trail should be called and what it should feel like.

Secret Santa gifts. Ugly sweaters. A lot of laughs.

Days like this matter. Not because of the sweaters or the gifts—but because joy, connection, and trust don’t happen by accident. They’re built, day by day, in how people show up for each other.

Our broader goal has always been bigger than properties or projects. It’s about people first—creating environments where teams feel valued, supported, and genuinely connected. When that’s strong inside our walls, it carries into the work we do for our tenants, our partners, and our community.

On Friday, or team stepped away from the office and into Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Indianapolis to celebrate the holiday season together. A lot of laughs, some singing, and a recap video that reminded us just how much we accomplished as a team.

Getting out of the day-to-day, even for a few hours matters. It gives you space to connect with the people you work alongside, understand who they are beyond the job, strengthen company culture, and add a little holiday cheer along the way.

Here's to our amazing Sojos Capital team, the memories, and to finishing the rest of 2025 on a strong note.

Congratulations to Officer Ryan Deakin, IMPD News – Northwest District, our November Officer of the Month presented in partnership with Lucas Oil!

Known as the “go-to” person for his district, Officer Deakin continually goes above and beyond to support his fellow officers and the community he serves. From assisting the Homicide Unit on short notice to organizing wellness initiatives like healthier meal options and a workout space for his team, his dedication shines every day.

He’s also a trusted community partner—regularly attending local meetings, building relationships, and leading fundraising efforts to strengthen trust and connection across the district.

🎉 Thank you, Indy! Our 1-Year Birthday Bash was a blast! 🎉

On Wednesday, we celebrated one full year of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Indianapolis — and you all showed up with the same energy, excitement, and love that’s carried us since day one.

From packed auditoriums to surprise moments, it was a night full of laughter, good food, great films, and the community that makes this place feel like home.

One of our favorite highlights? Our 1-Year Alamo Awards, honoring the amazing regulars who’ve supported us since the beginning.
We even gave a special award to the legend who commented on over 130 posts just to bring Speed Racer back to the big screen. 🏁🍿

To every guest who came out — and to every member of our Indy community who keeps cheering us on — thank you for making this first year unforgettable. Here’s to many more movies, memories, and moments together. ❤️
