Just because you’re approved for it doesn’t mean you should buy it! 🏠

This can be hard for buyers to hear, especially first-time buyers, but it’s so important.

Maxxing out your budget on a home usually isn’t a smart move. It can leave you housepoor and unable to actually enjoy your new digs since everything is going towards your mortgage.

When buying, your goal is to choose a payment that lets you sleep at night. 💰

Time and time again, I see that the buyers who stay within a comfortable range feel SO MUCH less stress and more freedom long term.

That matters more than an extra bedroom or prettier tile. 😌

Holding out for a "better" offer is nearly always a bad idea. 💸

It can be hard to know when to push on an offer and when to accept.

This is where I recommend leaning on your real estate agent. 😉

This isn’t my first rodeo, so I can help you find the best way to approach your offers.

Generally speaking, the first strong offer will come from the most motivated buyer, not the most desperate.

If you hesitate too long, buyers might start to question the home and move their attention elsewhere.

Most people didn’t grow up learning how real estate works so of course it feels confusing! 🤷‍♀️

Just dropping a little reminder for you today ✨🤍

Nothing in life happens on a set schedule, and the same thing goes for real estate!

There’s no age that you need to buy a home by or a year that was the only time to get a good deal.

If you’re feeling behind or like the time to buy a home is already way past, I want to kindly ask you to get those thoughts out of your head.

Many of my clients felt like they were way behind in real estate until they realized they were actually prepared in the ways that mattered.

Often, they’re really glad to have had that extra time and life experience!

I wish more buyers believed this.

But I can tell you with 100% certainty that you’re not “behind.”

Real estate doesn’t happen on a set schedule, and people buy homes at all different stages of life and for all different reasons!

If you’re feeling like the time to buy a home has passed, or that you’re going to be playing catch-up forever, then we need to talk.

Most people feel overwhelmed by homebuying because they’re trying to solve everything at once.

The financing, the needs vs wants list, the right agent, the right lender, the house hunting schedule... the list goes on and on! 📋

The fix is slowing it down and focusing on the next best step. Buying a home is totally a marathon, not a sprint! 🏃

Your next step? Finding the right real estate agent. I always recommend that buyers interview at least 3 agents before choosing the one to help them along their journey. This will help you find the best agent with the style that works best for you!
