Are you ready to apply for the REAL Class of 2027? Keep these tips in mind as you complete your application.

Applications are evaluated based on these categories: Education and Specialty, Volunteer Activity, Qualifications, Personal Attributes, and Recommendation(s).

Names and identifying information are redacted from the applications shared with the Selection Committee.

Take your time in completing the application. Be sure to give thoughtful answers and show the committee how great you are!

Pro tip: while you can’t save your progress in the application form, you can write your answers to the questions in a separate document and copy/paste them into the application form when you’re ready.

Ready to make an impact beyond your local market? Serving on a National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) committee is a meaningful way to elevate your voice and represent Central Indiana at the national level.

Applications for 2027 committees are open now through June 24, 2026. With 90+ committees to choose from, there’s a place for every interest and expertise.

REAL participants are making a real impact on our industry. Many graduates have gone on to serve on the MIBOR Board of Directors, lead divisions, and even serve as President of MIBOR. Each year, industry award recipients include both current and past REAL participants.

That impact extends into the community as well.

Each September, REAL classes participate in the REAL Challenge, a friendly competition to raise funds for The REALTOR® Foundation. In 2025, participants raised a combined $60,389 to support efforts to address homelessness in central Indiana.

REAL brings people together that are committed to growing as a REALTOR® and building lasting professional relationships. With a small cohort, participation goes beyond simply showing up. You engage with your peers, learn alongside them, and develop connections that last beyond the program.

After graduation, you stay connected through a strong alumni network, quarterly updates to support your continued growth, and a private space to engage with REAL alumni across all cohorts.

Each investment advances the vision of the Community Impact Initiative: to make Central Indiana the best region in the country to live, work, play, and invest. Thriving communities are essential to creating a thriving real estate market.
