✨THE LIFE OF A PROPERTY MANAGER✨

Well… I had a little visitor waiting for me as I was finishing up at one of our clients’ homes! 🐍

If it had been a rattlesnake, I probably would have been held hostage inside the house for a while! 😄 The good news is, this little guy wasn’t interested in me at all.

Living in the desert means sharing it with wildlife, including snakes. You may not see them often, but they’re definitely out there. The majority are harmless and will usually move along if you make some noise.

So what did I do? I stomped my feet, let him know who was boss, and encouraged him to move on. Believe it or not, it worked! He quickly slithered away and wanted nothing to do with me☺️.

If you ever spot a snake in your yard, the first step is to identify it from a safe distance. If it’s venomous—such as a rattlesnake—don’t take any chances. Keep your distance, leave it alone, and in most cases it will move on by itself. Loud vibrations and noise can often encourage non-venomous snakes to leave the area as well.

Our pest control company also offers a snake repellent that can be applied around the exterior of your home. While no product can guarantee snakes will stay away, it may help reduce the likelihood of unwanted visitors.

Just a friendly reminder to stay alert during snake season, especially when walking around landscaping, rocks, or other shaded areas. Stay safe out there! 🌵
