There’s a big difference between avoiding taxes illegally and using the tax code exactly as it was designed.

Real estate investors still contribute heavily through property taxes, payroll taxes, tourism taxes, sales taxes, insurance costs, and the local economies they help support.

The U.S. government intentionally created incentives like depreciation and 1031 exchanges to encourage housing investment, development, and economic growth. Using those incentives responsibly isn’t “un-American”, it’s understanding the system.
