It may be COOOOLD outside, but we are just around the corner from the spring market. Historically, spring has been the busiest season for real estate, except for the last handful of years, where we didn't slow down year around. I think we are moving back to a more seasonal market, where late February-June, are when we see most of the action. As we come to the end of another year, we wanted to say thank you, to the friends, family, past customers, and so many more, who have put their trust in me to help them with their real estate needs. As we look forward to the new year, I ask that you keep me in mind for not only your real estate needs, but your friends and family as well. Happy Veterans Day!

Today we remember all with us who have served our great country. In a world where we have a holiday for everything, a day isnt enough for our Veterans.

Go out of your way and thank someone for their service, it may be awkward for them, but they appreciate it more than they may express

Sometimes as agents, we too become buyers and sellers, yesterday, I was the seller. The past few days have been a lot of reflection of the work and memories that have gone into this home. While I will miss this home, it was always intended to be sold. Those that are close to me, knew that was my goal. Stillwater will hold a special place for me. On to the next!

The real estate market and predictions about where we may or may not be going, never stop. Zillow posted this study recently. Many renters, are probably in a better place than they think, not to mention, there are a lot of programs out there to help with down payment. Weather you can afford to own or not, there are plenty of studies showing that in a lot of cases, owning, is much better for your pocket book than renting

Something to think about when you bring someone on to help you buy or sell a property. While I dont think working another job should be a knock (and I know several agents who work full time plus, and are among the top in our industry) I do think that the 1-2 transactions a year agents, can hurt not only how the transaction may go, but our industry as a whole. Real estate is an "experience" business, every single day, even after 20 years, I learn something, weather it be how to navigate rough waters, or techniques in marketing. I am daily in communication with professionals in the industry, honing my job, and becoming more proficient. All of this to say, you dont need to go with me, but have someone in your corner who knows what they are doing

Quick recap of ‘23. This year we experienced some “normality” in our markets, homes aren’t selling as quickly, and buyers are getting a little more concessions than we’ve seen in years past. As the interest rate has come down, we have seen the traffic tick up a little, and we will probably see a spring rush as we did when the market was more stable. Business wise, I had a good year, little slower than in years past, but that’s ok. We added 2 properties to our portfolio, and are full steam ahead on rehabbing one, watch for that to come out in next couple months

All in all, a great year, as always, looking to improve on the next. We are thankful for our friends, family, and clients, that out their trust in us. We know that real estate transactions can be stressful, and there’s plenty if moving parts.
