🚨 UPDATE: Florida Property Tax Proposal 🚨

The Florida House of Representatives voted 80–30 to advance a proposal that could eliminate nearly all non-school property taxes on homesteaded primary residences.

But here’s what matters most 👇

📌 It is NOT law yet.
The bill still must pass the Florida Senate.

🗳️ If the Senate approves it, it would go on the November 3, 2026 General Election ballot, where it would require 60% voter approval statewide to pass.

What the proposal includes:
✅ Applies only to homesteaded primary residences
✅ Would phase out non-school property taxes
✅ School district taxes would remain

So the earliest Florida voters would weigh in is November 3, 2026 — and that only happens if the Senate signs off first.
