Today's Market at the Depot this morning in Inverness was one of my favorites!

With the Tree Lighting tonight in Liberty Park the Depot is packed with vendors and families holiday shopping, enjoying yummy pancakes & warm coffee, and there is a ton of laughter to be heard.

There is family photos, DIY Ornament making, and a light pole decoration contest for you to jude. The boat parade starts at 5:45 and I'm pretty sure I spied Mrs. Claus 🤶 preparing to say hello to everyone!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend. Get out, enjoy the weather, and celebrate being with the ones you love!

🎄✨ Crystal River Christmas Parade Route and Viewing Map ✨🎄

It is almost parade time friends!
Here is everything you need to know to pick the perfect viewing spot and enjoy a magical night downtown.

Staging begins just south of HWY 44 on HWY 19 at NW Third Street. Floats will enter HWY 19 between Walgreens and Saras Diner, travel southbound, and exit at Paradise Point just past Truist Bank.

Spectators may line both sides of HWY 19 and are kindly asked to remain either on the sidewalk or the median so everyone can enjoy the parade safely and comfortably.

🚦 Traffic and Road Closures
Beginning at 5 p.m., traffic on HWY 19 in both directions will be detoured to Martin Luther King Boulevard on HWY 44 for southbound traffic and near Aldis Plaza for northbound traffic until 9 p.m.

From 2 to 7 p.m. the following downtown roads will be closed or one way or detoured

- N Citrus Ave
- Three Sisters Springs
- NE 5th St
- NE 4th St
- NE 3rd St

Bundle up, bring the family, claim your favorite spot along the route, and get ready for a night filled with glowing lights, cheerful floats, and Crystal River holiday magic. The parade is set to light up downtown and we cannot wait to enjoy this unforgettable evening with our community.

Next Wednesday, December 10th, from 3:00–5:00 PM, Lecanto High School will proudly host our 1st Annual Holiday Baking Showdown featuring friendly competition between Lecanto, Citrus, and Crystal River High Schools!

📊 December Market Update – Citrus County

As we wrap up the year, the December market is moving just like you’d expect during the holidays — a little slower, a little quieter, but still full of opportunity depending on your goals.

Here’s what we’re seeing this month:

🏡 Inventory is steady but slowly building.
Some sellers are pausing until after the New Year, while motivated buyers are still out shopping. This creates a sweet spot for both sides depending on timing.

📉 Days on market are ticking up.
Homes are taking a bit longer to go under contract as buyers get busy with travel, family, and holiday chaos. Totally normal for December.

💰 Negotiation power is shifting.
On average, buyers are negotiating 6–10% below list price. Sellers who price smart and stay flexible are the ones getting deals done.

🎄 Holiday slowdown now = New Year momentum later.
We typically see a burst of new listings and buyer activity in January. If you’re planning a move in 2026, right now is the planning window.
