The National Trumpet Competition is happening right here at the Voxman Music Building—and it’s open to the public.

Even if you’re not a “music person,” trust me—this is one of those experiences that pulls you in. The level of talent is incredible.

And bonus? You get to step inside one of the coolest buildings in Iowa City. Voxman is modern, light-filled, and beautifully designed—definitely worth seeing if you’ve never been inside.

I love living in a city where world-class events just… show up on a random weekend. ❤️
