Plaza Towers is a modern fourteen-floor aluminum and glass building on the pedestrian plaza in downtown Iowa City, Iowa, immediately across from the state-of-the-art Iowa City Public Library which recently underwent a 20 million dollar expansion and renovation, http://www.icpl.org/. Plaza Towers is steps from numerous restaurants, retail establishments, and entertainment venues and is adjacent to the University of Iowa Campus, http://www.uiowa.edu .
Each condo has a spacious outdoor private patio-balcony. The views are spectacular. Privately owned condos and apartments fill the top seven floors; from half-floor size to two- or three-bedroom units and a handful of efficiencies. The bottom seven floors house a sushi restaurant (the Formosa); the Bread Garden Market, a wonderful niche organic and conventional grocery store and an indoor/outdoor informal restaurant, including a full service coffee bar, made-from-scratch bakery, fresh deli, etc., complete with an outstanding offering of American and International wines by bottle or glass. The Hotel Vetro, directly under the condos, is a three-story boutique hotel (where boutiques can stay overnight). The building also has a gym, a pool, a large outdoor patio, a large ballroom, and conference rooms. Currently other businesses in Plaza Towers are Eastwind Healing Center, Neuman Monson Architect, Iowa City Fitness, Heartland Yoga, and VirtueMedicine. Most summer weekends the patio and ballroom are booked for weddings. Beneath the building is a full size garage for resident parking only and a public tornado shelter, I kid you not. :-( Please contact the businesses directly about what they offer and their hours. The Moen Group generally handles large events.and the selling and occasional rental of condos and apartments. Please email or call Marc Moen if you have further questions: [email protected]; 319.430.3010.
