One of the things I love most about living Up North is that every season teaches us something.

Summer teaches us not to hurry.

It reminds us to sit on the porch a little longer, wave to neighbors as they drive by, and watch the sky change colors at the end of the day.

Sometimes I think we're so busy planning the next big adventure that we forget to notice the small ones happening right in front of us.

A hummingbird at the feeder.

A child catching their first fish.

Fresh blueberries on the kitchen counter.

The sound of crickets after dark.

Those moments may not seem important today.

But years from now, they're often the ones we'll remember first.

So wherever this week takes you, I hope you find time for one more little moment.

They're what make Northern Michigan feel like home.
