We’re incredibly proud to announce that our CEO, Jim Snyder, has been inducted into the UC Irvine Athletics Hall of Fame (Class of 2026)! 🎾

Before he was leading our team here, Jim was busy setting the gold standard for the UC Irvine men’s tennis program during its transition into the NCAA Division I era. His collegiate career wasn't just successful—it was historic.

A Foundation of Excellence
Jim’s impact was immediate. After joining the Anteaters in 1980, he earned the No. 1 singles spot and became the program’s first Big West Men’s Tennis Player of the Year. He didn't stop there, winning the award three years in a row (1981–1983)—a feat only one other player in conference history has ever achieved.

Career Milestones:
• The All-Time Leader: With a career record of 132-53, Jim remains the all-time singles wins leader in UC Irvine history.
• A Pioneer: He was the first Anteater to qualify for the NCAA Division I singles tournament.
• A Team Player: In addition to three straight conference titles in singles and doubles, he led the team to its first-ever NCAA Division I team appearance as a senior.
• National Clay Court Champion: In addition to success at UC Irvine, Jim won the USTA National Amateur Clay Court Championship (21 and under) in Pittsburgh, PA and gained the number 1 national ranking in the same year.

A Special Celebration
It was a meaningful evening as Jim was surrounded by those who have supported him throughout his journey. His wife, Coleen, their children, and grandchildren were all on hand to witness the induction. Joining the family was Jim’s longtime friend, Wing Lam, making the celebration of this milestone even more memorable.

The same drive, discipline, and competitive spirit that placed Jim in the Hall of Fame are the qualities he brings to our organization every day.
