This week, my daughter faced a tough lesson on the softball field. She wasnโt selected for the All-Star summer team.
It wasnโt a lack of skill. It was because she didn't swing.
The fear of missing the ball became greater than the desire to hit it. By not taking the risk to bat, she stayed "safe" from a strikeoutโbut she also stayed safe from a home run.
As an analyst, I see this "Mental Squeeze" in our real estate market every day. ๐ฌ
Many highly analytical buyers are so afraid of a "recalibration" that they stay on the sidelines. But with consistent 5% appreciation, the "Cost of Waiting" is often higher than the risk of the swing.
Whether itโs 8U softball or a $2M portfolio, you canโt improve if you donโt stand at the plate.
Tonight, weโre practicing the swing. Tomorrow, weโre back to the data. โค๏ธ
