Executive Vice President Steve Liu and Senior Associate Alex Tohidian of the Retail Services Group in our Orange County office represented the landlord in a new lease at Canyon Springs Riverside shopping center, 2800 Campus Parkway, Riverside, CA.
The leased space, totaling 10,000 square feet, was formerly occupied by Famous Footwear. The new tenant, GMD, signed a 10-year lease to establish its first storefront in Southern California at Canyon Springs Riverside, a premier retail destination anchored by Target, Five Below, PetSmart, Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, and more.
“This is a strong location for GMD to establish its presence in the region, surrounded by national retailers and positioned in a high-traffic corridor,” said Steve.
“We’re excited to have played a role in bringing GMD to Southern California,” added Alex. “Canyon Springs Riverside offers outstanding visibility, traffic, and co-tenancy, making it an ideal launch point for their expansion.”
Canyon Springs Riverside is located along the highly visible and active Canyon Springs Parkway retail corridor, home to major retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Smart & Final Extra, and Hobby Lobby. The shopping center benefits from proximity to UC Riverside, just a 10-minute drive away, with nearly 27,000 students and 1,100 faculty members—and boasts excellent visibility, with approximately 67,150 cars per day at the intersection of Day Street and Canyon Springs Parkway and more than 270,000 cars per day at the I-215 and US-60 freeway interchange.
Vice President Daniel Ma of JLL represented the tenant, who is actively seeking additional 10,000-square-foot retail boxes in high-profile retail centers across Southern California.
