Normal operations have resumed at Heritage Park Library and the Irvine Fine Arts Center. Southern California Edison continues working to fully restore power, and both facilities may experience intermittent power outages as work continues. Air conditioning is currently unavailable at both locations.

If power issues persist or worsen, the facilities may need to close temporarily to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.

⚠️ Road Closures ⚠️

Sunday, March 22, is race day for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation's Reaching for the Cure, and the following road closures will be in place from 6 to 11 a.m. Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time if you will be in the area.

🚧 Barranca Parkway from Jeffrey Road to Sand Canyon Avenue
🚧 Valley Oak from Irvine Center Drive to south of Barranca — closed to northbound traffic at Alevera
🚧 Sand Canyon at Barranca will have limited access for southbound and westbound traffic, and will be closed to eastbound and northbound traffic
🚧 Sand Canyon will be closed to northbound traffic at Hoag entrance
🚧 Laguna Canyon Road will be closed between Barranca and Alton Parkway
🚧 Irvine Valley at Jeffrey Road — full closure in both directions

Discover the wild, natural beauty of the Cattle Camp at Bommer Canyon Preserve Saturday, July 15, as the City of Irvine reopens the Cattle Camp to the public.

After a nearly three-year effort to restore Bommer Canyon Community Park, this 15-acre space is now Bommer Canyon preserve — a protected, open-space wildland that is covered by a lush sycamore and oak canopy. The construction included a major restoration of the Cattle Camp, which honors Irvine’s rich history as part of the ranching community, while outfitting the venue with accessible and modern amenities.

The Cattle Camp at Bommer Canyon Preserve offers residents and visitors a natural space that features native California flora and fauna and will continue to offer beautiful hiking trails, a picnic area, and a picturesque rental facility.

Join the City of Irvine for the official reopening Saturday, July 15, 9–11 a.m. The event features a hike with Mayor Farrah N. Khan, informational booths from environmental organizations, and a dedication of the preserve.

There is no on-site parking for the event. Off-site parking will be available at Turtle Rock Community Park, located at 1 Sunnyhill, Irvine. Free shuttles will be provided from parking to the Cattle Camp.
