Congratulations to the Littles and Bigs who successfully completed the Financial Literacy Workshop Series! The 5-part series was launched a year ago so my wife and I can teach 16-25 y/o Littles the basics of personal finance, banking, budgeting, outsmarting debt, and investing. Thank you Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County for the opportunity!

Happy Thanksgiving!
One of the things I’m most grateful for this year is the opportunity to co-author and teach a 5-part Financial Literacy workshop series with my wife. Thankful that we get to spend time with these Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County HS-age and college-age Littles and their Bigs. 4 down, 1 to go. We are thankful to God for the wisdom and strength to do this.

Today, November 9th, Jen & I celebrate our 11th match anniversary with our Little Sister, Abbie. As a couple, it is our joy to have known Abbie and do life with her as our mentee and bestie. This year, we’re glad to be able to teach a 5-part financial literacy course to high school and college-age Littles for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and have Abbie as our intern helping us facilitate the workshop. Abbie, we are very proud of you and we love you. We’re looking forward to the years ahead!

Can’t wait to host the next Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County Financial Literacy workshop on “Outsmarting Debt”. We will demystify debt and bust the myths around it. Matches (Littles & Bigs) will learn the steps to building a strong credit score, using debt wisely, and managing debt to build financial success.

Budgeting the “right” way is unpopular and that is why a lot of people have a hard time staying within their budget or getting ahead towards their goal. This weekend, Jennifer Necir Olson and I had fun teaching Part 3 of the 5-part Workshop Series on Smart Budgeting. We thank Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County for the opportunity to teach these students/Littles.
