Today, we observe 25 years since September 11, 2001—a day that shook our nation to its core, but also brought Americans together in a way many of us will never forget.
For some, 9/11 is something learned about through history books and annual remembrances. For many others, the memories remain vivid—where we were, who we were with, and the uncertainty of the days that followed.
Today, we remember the lives lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93. We honor the first responders and countless others whose lives were forever changed, and we keep in our thoughts the families who still carry those losses 25 years later.
In a time when it can sometimes feel easier to focus on what divides us, September 11th is also a reminder of how quickly and strongly Americans can come together. May we never forget what was lost, what was given, and what it means to stand together.
