Allen and I are welcoming to the world and the the Chateau family, Ronin Alexander.
After spending Sunday night-Tuesday afternoon in the hospital with dehydration and high blood pressures, I got to go home and have my baby shower with my wonderful Chateau family and my husband, brother and sister-in-law.
I went into work Wednesday like any other day, besides being tired, almost 36 weeks pregnant and having feet so swollen they looked like a can of Pillsbury biscuits. That afternoon at my weekly ob visit, my blood pressure was again dangerously high and my doctor sent me down to be admitted at the hospital.
I started the process of being induced on Wednesday night, Thursday was rough… Friday morning after 24+ hours of labor and only 4 cm dilation, the doctor and I agreed it was time for a c-section.
Since baby Ronin was still a day shy of 36 weeks, he is in the NICU tonight on the c-pap machine. He seems to be doing well and can hopefully be with Allen and me tomorrow. Your thoughts and prayers for him and my family are greatly appreciated.
