Born in Cielo Cepeda in Bogota, Colombia and given up for adoption to the FANA Orphanage in January 1977. Sara was adopted that same year and was brought to the United States at three months old to be raised in Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens. At the age of 36, she embarked on a journey to find her biological mother. She searched the internet and, with the help of a colleague, was able to locate her on Facebook but found that no one knew of Sara’s existence. Her biological mother had given birth as a teenager and was told Sara did not survive and had no idea Sara was alive which created confusion and aroused strong emotions for all. Sara eventually reunited with her family in Colombia. That reunion not only changed her life but gave her purpose. It inspired Sara to help others achieve their personal and professional goals. This is why she started Through the Eyes of a Rainbow Child Foundation and remains committed to life and wellness coaching.
