What happens to the Real estate market when interest rates drop!!

It is like a big “SALE” sign going up on the housing market. Mortgages become cheaper, so suddenly, people who were just browsing can now afford to buy. Buyers get excited, start shopping for their dream homes, and before you know it, bidding wars break out. With so many people jumping in, home prices often start climbing, especially in areas where there aren’t enough houses to go around.

For homeowners, lower rates are a golden ticket to refinance, cutting their monthly payments and freeing up cash for vacations, renovations, or just a little extra breathing room. Meanwhile, builders see the cheaper financing and think, “Let’s break ground!” This helps get more houses into the mix—though not always fast enough to keep up with demand.

In short, low interest rates bring energy and action to the housing market it can quickly turn into a game of musical chairs, with homebuyers scrambling for the few available spots.
