Before and after along 🌿

This year, crews from Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust spent a couple of days clearing invasive blackberry and yellow archangel along the stretch of the creek we own in . It's part of a partnership that started in 2017 and has rooted more than 1,000 native plants to help thrive.

Our family has cared for this creek for nearly four decades, and we're proud of how far it's come. The work is never truly done, but we're getting closer every year.

Ten years in, and a fresh new look.

The Homewood Suites Issaquah just wrapped up a full refresh for its tenth anniversary, with new wallpaper, artwork, carpet, and furniture throughout the hotel. We celebrated Friday with a ribbon cutting, a toast, and tours of the new spaces.

Thank you to City of Issaquah Mayor Mark Mullet, Council member Russell Joe, City of Issaquah - Government, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, GLY Construction, and the whole team behind the scenes who made it happen.

This year's theme is "Stars, Stripes & Salmon," and we're inviting the whole community to bring out its red, white & blue spirit. When the stars and stripes are flying and thousands of visitors fill downtown , it takes an amazing team working behind the scenes to keep the weekend running smoothly.

With 14+ volunteer areas and flexible shifts, there's a spot for just about everyone:

There's nothing quite like a celebration right in our own backyard.

This past Saturday, our CEO Kari and her family headed over to Cougar Mountain Zoo for Wild First Year, cheering on Kimari, Zella, and Kemba as the cubs turned ONE!

Between the lion enrichment, birthday crafts, and a giant card the whole crowd got to sign, it was a perfect weekend. And the cubs weren't the only stars of the day. The family got up close with kangaroos, porcupines, birds, and plenty of other incredible animals along the way. Getting to be part of a with gems like this just up the road is one of our favorite things about calling this place home.
