While those concerns definitely have merit, in a word, NO! Each of those concerns can be addressed through due diligence, and should be!

With new HOA laws coming into effect, changes are coming. Many HOA boards are hustling to try to catch up to the changes, especially around increased transparency and increased financial and reserves information.

As this info becomes more prevalent, the quality of their management to that point will become more apparent. As always, proper due diligence is key.

Even with the PNW being well short of needed housing, condo have been sitting and prices are lagging behind single family homes and townhouses. Opportunity?!?

At some point, potentially once these new requirements have had time to breed positive HOA changes, the condo market will rebound. Those who purchased when prices were low will be sitting pretty.
