THE SOLOMON ORGANIZATION AND ITHACA APARTMENT ASSOCIATION DONATED $10,000 TO CHARITIES IN ANNUAL RANDOM LOTTERY
Annual Give a Chance Charitable Giveaway Has Donated More Than $60,000 to Ithaca-Area Charities Since 2016
ITHACA, NY, March 14, 2022—Fifteen Ithaca-area charities recently vied for one of three donations--$5,000, $1,500, or $500—and everyone walked away a winner in The Solomon Organization/Ithaca Apartment Management’s Seventh Annual Give a Chance random donation drawing.
Former Lansing Mayor Don Hartill, Ithaca Chief of Staff Faith Vavra, and Local Radio Host Dave Ashton were on hand to congratulate the big winners of the random drawing were:
· Finger Lakes Toy Library Inc: $5,000
· Friends of Ithaca Sea Scouts: $1,500

Additionally, the following charities received $250:

The apartment owner and manager of more than 1,000 apartment units in the Ithaca area then hosted a poll on the Ithaca Apartment Management Facebook where each vote a charity received counted as an entry into the lottery; the more votes, the better its chances of being randomly picked for one of three grand prizes.
“We know that charities throughout the area are increasingly expected to do more with fewer resources making programs like our Give a Chance charitable giveaway that much more needed,” said John Kennedy, Regional Manager for Ithaca Apartment Management, a division of The Solomon Organization. “Our goal is to provide some financial assistance as well as raise awareness for all the great work being done in and around Ithaca.”
