THREE YEARS AND
A LIFETIME AGO

Constantinos (Gus) Lambrou: May his memory be everlasting...

Gus E. Lambrou passed away three years ago on 1/12/2017. The Lambrou family held a 3-year memorial service and hosted a special coffee hour in his honor after services on Sunday, January 12th. The memorial service was officiated by Fr. Stephen Gousios, pastor, with Gus’s son Evan chanting.

Many thanks to Maria Georgiou for making and bringing coliva to help mark the occasion (coliva is a sweet boiled wheat delicacy symbolic of life, death and resurrection used to liturgically commemorate our departed loved ones).

“We will miss him forever. He’s always in our hearts and never far from our thoughts,” Evan said, thanking those present for coming and continuing to support the church.

A pillar of the community, his family and friends and his beloved parish of Saint Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in downtown Ithaca all remember him with fondness and abiding love. Below please find the link to his obituary...
