If an applicant is scheduled to sit for the examination applications for employment will be taken under consideration. If an individual desires to become a Mississippi Real Estate Salesperson licensee, Charter South Properties of MS, Inc. will sponsor said individuals after completion of a successful interview and the prospective licensee's acceptance of the role of an Unlicensed Real Estate Assistant.

Duties and Job Responsibilities:
The duties of a Realtor include representing buyers to find the best properties that meet their needs at the right price. They also take clients on viewings of properties, make offers and negotiate terms of the purchase. Realtors navigate transactions through escrow and ensure they are completed properly to protect the client’s interests. In the case of a seller, a Realtor markets the client’s properties and finds a qualified buyer with the best price for the seller.

Job Skils and Qualifications:
(1) Excellent negotiation skills with clients and other realtors to arrive at agreeable sales terms. (2) Good verbal and written communication skills to be able to prepare documents and speak with client, financial professionals and other Realtors. (3) Strong time management and organizational skills to keep track of appointments and commitments with buyers and sellers. (4) Outstanding promotional and marketing skills to attract buyers and establish their client base through referrals, advertising, and outreach
Knowledge of the local real estate market concerning average property prices, neighborhoods within the sales territory, and current trends (5) Great client service skills and ability to understand the needs of clients in terms of what they are looking for and what is practical within their price range.

Compensation:
Compensation is based on sales commissions earned by the Real Estate Salesperson. Commission splits are determined entirely by the applicant/licensee's experience and sales volume for experienced licensees. For new Real Estate Salespersons, the initial split is 50% to the Salesperson and 50% to the Brokerage for the first 90 days of employment. Then a new commission split is then determined by the applicant/licensee's sales performance review if the licensee has seen an increase in inventory sold they will receive an increase in their percentage. On average the typical licensee will see their commission split increase after 9-12 months of activity.
