🏡 This Week’s Market Update | October 12–16

Mortgage rates remain elevated, but they did finish the week slightly lower—and buyers may have more leverage than they realize.

Nearly 43% of listings have reduced their price, creating opportunities to negotiate beyond the purchase price. Seller credits and rate buydowns may help make the monthly payment more manageable.

With inflation data and Fed commentary ahead, rates could move in either direction. The key is having the right strategy ready when the right home comes along.

Thinking about buying or selling? Let’s talk about what today’s market means for you.

🏡 This Week’s Market Update | October 5–9

Mortgage rates are sitting near a one-year high—but higher rates don’t mean buyers are out of options.

With 43% of listings seeing price reductions, fewer buyers competing and more sellers willing to negotiate, there may be opportunities to secure a better price, seller credits or other favorable terms.

Headlines and upcoming Fed commentary could keep rates moving, but the right home and the right negotiation strategy can still make sense in today’s market.

Thinking about buying or selling? Let’s talk about what these numbers mean for you.
