In honor of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, local first responders invite our community to join them Friday for a commemorative hill climb up Snow King Mountain. The climb honors the 343 FDNY firefighters and other first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, as well as those who continued the rescue and recovery efforts. ❤️We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
📍 Town Square Ceremony: 8:30 AM
📍 Hill Climb: 4–7 PM | Base of Snow King
⛰️ 1,500-foot climb — equivalent to 110 stories
🎖️ Participants carry a badge honoring a 9/11 first responder
🍔 Community BBQ at the base

Come celebrate the life and legacy of a truly unforgettable part of Jackson Hole’s wild heart. 🐻❤️Tonight, September 9, at 5 p.m. for the unveiling and dedication of the Grizzly 399 Monument at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. For decades, 399 captured the hearts of Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and the Greater Yellowstone community. She became an icon of the wild and a symbol of the incredible bond between a mother and her cubs.
Though we have lost this beloved grizzly, her legacy lives on through her cubs and the generations that follow. 399's monument, honoring her and her famous quads, will stand permanently near the museum entrance.
