One of the biggest mistakes buyers make with pool homes is skipping a pool inspection. Your general home inspector is not a pool expert. On older homes especially, you need a pool company to inspect the equipment, pumps, and structure because repairs can get expensive fast. When pools can cost over $100K to build, it makes no sense not to inspect one before closing. If you’re buying a pool home, make sure you protect yourself during due diligence.
