In comparison to other cities in Florida, Jax is the most affordable and with no state income tax and beautiful weather year round, we are not surprised that our city has made yet another national list for being desirable. 🌞

Do you need flood insurance? In areas that are prone to flooding, you’ll likely be required to buy flood insurance as a condition of your mortgage before you can take out a loan to buy a home. This is especially true if you buy your home with an FHA loan or other government-backed mortgage and live in what’s known as a “flood hazard area.”

In Florida, these areas are especially common. Make sure to ask your realtor about flood zones when looking for your home.
