Not every closing is picture-perfect—and this one definitely tested everyone involved.

We had a fall-through on a previous property that forced my clients to pivot quickly. Then came multiple extensions, constant recalculating, and more than a few “are we really going to make it?” moments. Just when it felt like we were crossing the finish line, we arrived at the final walkthrough… and there was no water.

At that point, it’s easy for deals to unravel. Emotions run high, stress levels spike, and everyone’s patience gets pushed to the limit. But this is where experience, communication, and calm problem-solving matter most.

Instead of panic, we focused on solutions. Coordinated with all parties. Verified the issue, negotiated next steps, and kept the end goal front and center. It wasn’t smooth, it wasn’t easy—but it closed.

Transactions like this are a reminder that real estate isn’t just about contracts and keys. It’s about navigating uncertainty, managing expectations, and advocating for your clients when things don’t go as planned.

Grateful for clients who trusted the process, professionals who stayed engaged, and a reminder that challenging closings are often the most rewarding ones to get across the finish line.
