The concept of “15 minute cities” seems to be popping up a lot lately. So, what is a 15 minute city? A 15 minute city is a land use planning concept that designs an urban area so essential needs are available within a 15 minute walk from a residence. It is not a regulation that restricts movement or requires a permit to leave your neighborhood or any other such crazy unfounded reactionary belief. Cities have historically been designed with this concept in mind until cars became ubiquitous. Imagine being able to safely bike or walk to run a few errands. Personally I think that would great!
