🪵🪰 FLORIDA TERMITE SEASON IS HERE 🪰

If you’ve noticed what looks like “flying ants” gathering around lights, porches, garages, or even sneaking inside after opening the door for two seconds, welcome to Florida termite season. 😅

Every spring and early summer, swarming termites emerge to start new colonies. While seeing swarmers outside can be normal in Florida, repeated swarms inside your home especially piles of discarded wings or signs of mud tubes could indicate a termite issue worth investigating.

✨ What to look for:
• Swarms after warm rain or humid evenings
• Insects attracted to lights at dusk
• Piles of tiny wings near windows or doors
• Straight antennae and equal-length wings (unlike flying ants)

🏡 Helpful tips:
✔️ Turn off unnecessary outdoor lights
✔️ Keep garage doors and screens closed at dusk
✔️ Vacuum swarmers instead of spraying
✔️ Monitor for discarded wings indoors

There’s something so special about helping people you genuinely care about find a place to call home. ❤️🏡

Today was an exciting closing day for Amanda and me as we had the honor of helping the Denson family begin their next chapter. Watching Amanda work alongside friends she has known for so long made this experience even more meaningful, and I was so grateful to be part of the journey with them this time around. ❤️

From the peaceful property filled with wildlife and turkeys to the space their family can truly grow into, this home feels absolutely perfect for them. Seeing a wonderful homeschooling family so excited about their future made today incredibly rewarding.

Amanda truly wanted to be at closing today, but as a full time educator for Keller Williams Realty and someone currently leading their real estate education program, she has been incredibly busy helping guide and educate others in our industry. While she couldn’t attend in person, I know her heart was absolutely there with this family every step of the way.

What made this closing even more touching was the unbelievable kindness and thoughtfulness from the Denson family. I arrived at closing expecting to celebrate them, and instead was completely surprised with beautiful gifts, sweet cards, and so many thoughtful touches for both Amanda and me. Bringing those gifts back to the office and seeing Amanda’s reaction made the moment even more special. Their kindness and gratitude truly meant the world to us and reminded me once again how personal and meaningful this business really is. ❤️

Looking through these pictures and missing my mom extra today. 💔
If she were here, we’d probably be singing “Islands in the Stream” at karaoke together like old times, laughing between verses and picking out all her favorite songs. 🎶

No matter how much time passes, I still miss my singing partner so much. The music, the memories, and the love will always stay with me. ❤️ Happy Mother Day in heaven ❤️

Getting my wheels back under me 🛼💜
I didn’t just learn how to skate, I grew up on skates. It’s in me I just have to get my groove back. But let’s be real getting back into it takes endurance, confidence, and a little reminding myself that I can do this. So I’ve been showing up early, putting the time in, getting comfortable again, and building that stamina back up. Every step forward is a step in the right direction 🩷

Because if I’m going to be out there with these kids, I want to show up strong for them. 💪🏼

Not perfect just present, capable, and confident.

Sometimes the best kind of healing comes wrapped in a little adventure ❤️

Shannon and I took a trip to St. Augustine and ended up on a pirate ship cruising along the beautiful Matanzas River at sunset. We listened to stories of pirate life, watched dolphins playing in the water, and even saw manatees swimming faster than I ever imagined.

What made it even more special… my husband 💙
With his Cajun roots and ties to legends like Jean Lafitte, We always joked that I married a pirate🏴‍☠️ He’s always finding ways to take me on little adventures, especially when I need it most. 🫶🏼

This weekend was about more than just a trip. It was about family, love, and honoring my Pop. We celebrated his life the way he would’ve wanted together, surrounded by family, with good food, drinks, and no worries. My uncles made sure of that, and it meant everything. just being present with the people we love. 🩷

Shannon, thank you for always showing up for me, for lifting my spirit, and for loving me through every season. I’m so grateful for you and for the life we’ve built together ❤️

Here’s to love, family, and finding moments of peace even in the hardest times.

💜🩵 Proud Mom Moment 🛼💙💜

I wanted to take a moment to share something really special. My daughter has stepped way outside her comfort zone and joined the First Coast Junior Rollers 🛼, and I could not be more proud of her.

Watching her grow in confidence, strength, and teamwork has been incredible. This sport is teaching her so much more than skating… it’s building resilience, friendships, and belief in herself.

She has created a fundraising page to help support her journey with the team, covering things like gear, travel, and training. If you feel led to support, even a small donation truly makes a difference and means so much to her.
