Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, resilience, and the place so many of us are proud to call home. ❤️🤍💙

Living and working in a military community, I’m especially grateful for the brave men and women, past and present, who have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Thank you for your service.

I hope you all have a fun, safe Fourth of July filled with family, friends, great food, and fireworks! Here’s to celebrating our nation’s incredible history and all that’s still to come.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a recipe I made tonight! Let me know if you try it! 🥰

Creamy French Onion Ravioli and Chicken Sausage 🧅👩🏼‍🍳

Ingredients:
- Ravioli of choice(I used two packs) (I used Trader Joe’s caramelized onion and goat cheese)
- Chicken sausage of choice (I used the full pack) (I used Trader Joe’s roasted garlic)
- 1 medium - large Yellow onion
- 3-4 tbsps of salted butter
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of parm cheese
- Seasonings - garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- 1 - 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 - 2 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup of white dry wine
- 1 tsp of Worcestershire
- Pot of water
- 1-2 tbsp of Jarlic or fresh garlic
- Italian seasoning OR fresh Thyme

Instructions:
- Heat a pot of water on the stove at medium - high heat and bring it to a boil.
- Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a low- medium hot pan. *be careful not to have the pan too hot otherwise the onions will burn*
- Slice your onion into strips
- Add your onion strips to the pan with the melted butter.
- Add sugar, salt, and pepper to the pan with the onions. (Add more butter if you need it) Let sauté for 5-10 min.
- Add garlic to the onion mixture. Cook for 20-30 min or until caramelized
- Once it’s caramelized remove from the pan, saving the butter in the pan.
- Add your chopped chicken sausage to the pan and sauté until brown and crispy!
- Remove chicken sausage from the pan.
- Add your onions back into the pan and add your flour in (if you think you need more flour, add more)
- Sauté lightly with the flour. Add your 1/4c of white wine to deglaze and let it simmer until wine is almost ev***rated.
- Once the wine seems semi ev***rated you’ll add in your 2 cups of beef broth SLOWLY. Add a little bit, then whisk. Repeat until completely combined and no flour chunks remain.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Remove beef broth mixture from the heat and add your 1/2 c of heavy cream. Mix!
- When heavy cream is fully combined, add 1/2 c of Parmesan cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, a dash of smoked paprika, salt (if needed) and Italian seasoning. Allow mixture to come to a simmer to thicken (10 - 15 min or until you’re satisfied with the thickness)
- While your sauce simmers, add your ravioli to the boiling water and follow instructions.
- When ravioli is done, Drain.
- When the sauce is complete add in your chicken sausage and ravioli!
- Sprinkle a light amount of parm cheese on top if desired. Serve and enjoy!
