With only 6 days left to season I am OVERWHELMED! Clients have been so kind this season! But also, I have so much left to do. If you still need help at this point, we need to file an extension! 400+ returns completed and probably close to 100 remaining, to complete this week! I love what I do but… I’m tired!

They say they’ve “paused involuntary collections” but I’m seeing refunds applied to open student loan balances at the tax desk. If you borrowed money for education PLEASE contact your lender and make sure you KNOW the status of your loans. Before you file your taxes. And loan payments “paused for low income/lack of disposable income” ARE accruing interest!

3 ways out of student debt. 1-Pay them off. 2-Become 100% fully disabled per social security and request “disability forgiveness”. 3-Die. They can’t be included in bankruptcy. They can’t be paid with a credit card balance transfer.

“Americans in default can have up to 15% of their disposable pay garnished by the government. The government can also garnish income tax refunds and Social Security benefits.”
