How cool is this?!

Earlier this week, Lisa, our director, received a call about an injured coyote spotted near the beach. She and our Center Coordinator headed out and, thanks to sharp eyes in the community and a bit of luck, they were able to locate him, safely contain him, and bring him back to the center for care.

He has an injury to his hind leg, but the prognosis is encouraging, and we’re hopeful for a full recovery. What matters most is that he now has a real chance—time to rest, proper treatment, and the opportunity to be returned to the wild where he belongs.

This moment is bigger than one animal. It shows what can happen when a community chooses compassion. Someone saw a life in danger and decided to act. That one phone call set an entire rescue in motion.

Every report, every share, every bit of support makes outcomes like this possible.

WE NEED FOSTERS! Read below about how you can help! We have mammas with kittens, juveniles, and kittens in need. We have a strong support system for fosters and are with you every step of the way. As Kitten Lady Hannah Shaw says, THE GOAL IS GOODBYE! 🎉😻

HOW TO BE A FOSTER IN 5 EASY STEPS:

1) Make space for kitties; a bathroom, office, spare room is all it takes! We typically recommend keeping fosters separate from other pets, but there are exceptions. 🏠🛄

2) Provide socialization by frequent interaction, play, snuggles and love. Socialization is THE MOST inportant part of fostering, secondary to ensuring kitties are healthy. Treat them as if they were your own. ❤️

3) Monitor for any health changes such as diarrhea, runny noses, loss of appetite or change in body condition. If you're new to fostering there's so much to learn and our experienced fosters are here to guide you. Watch kitties grow, take lots of pictures and videos, share funny stories with other fosters in our private foster group. 💩📸

4) We will ensure your kitty has the appropriate vaccinations, deworming and spay/neuter, and you'll be their ride! You'll provide a safe place for them to go through all the proper vetting prior to adoption. 💉✂️🏥

5) Get them to adoption events! We hold events every weekend and this is where our kitties get the most visibility- they have a chance every weekend of finding their forever home. ♾️🏠💕

Everyone needs a home- especially when it’s COLD outside. Chip in if you can. Every bit helps even a fiver :)

🚨🐱IT’S $5 FRIDAY! 🐱🚨

Saturday evening one of our fosters arrived at small colony she feeds and immediately knew something was off. Sure enough within minutes she spotted 3 kittens that didn’t belong there. They were cold, scared, and hungry😢.

This foster like most of our fosters has no space, but what are we to do in these situations? TNR is an option, but they are young and scared at the colony and we have really cold weather coming. Putting them back out in this upcoming cold at their age could be a death sentence😿.

So this group of kittens is with the rescue like all the others we find that don’t belong outside🩷. We hope these babies weren’t dumped, but we unfortunately don’t know.

We desperately need help to keep up. More cats/kittens means more $ spent and more foster space needed.
Sadly kitten season hasn’t even hit yet and we still have close to 400 cats with about half those being adoptable currently.
