Despite the tough rankings, there's good news for buyers. Jacksonville showed one of the LARGEST affordability improvements in the state, climbing 21 spots in the national affordability rankings compared to last year.

A ConsumerAffairs analysis found that several Florida metros, including Jacksonville, became more affordable in 2026 than in 2025.
